Haley Reinhart
After Haley graduated from Wheeling High School in 2009, she went to the Chicago audition for season nine of American Idol, a series she had been watching since season one, when she was 11 years old. She didn’t make the cut, but when season 10 auditions were held in Milwaukee, Haley, now a student at Harper College in Palatine, IL, made a last-minute decision to try out a second time. Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez sent her through to Hollywood week, where she impressed the judges to qualify for the top 24. From there Haley survived elimination every week, ultimately receiving millions of votes from fans, landing her in the season’s top three.
After the sensational season finale, where she sang a duet with legend Tony Bennett, Haley spent the summer on the road as part of the “American Idols Live!” tour, playing to arena-sized crowds all over the United States as well as Toronto and the Philippines. An EP of songs she performed onAmerican Idol debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart. Haley then made news during the summer by signing to Interscope Records. Her album, Listen Up, debuts four days after GIRLS WHO ROCK!

Special Guest, Park Slope Rock School
Started in 2008, PSRS Brooklyn has quickly become an integral part of the New York City music and educational communities.
In addition to learning and performing cover songs, the program emphasizes the craft of original songwriting, helping students work as a band to express themselves musically and lyrically. PSRS has recently teamed up GIRLS WHO ROCK to produce their first-ever song dedicated to MUSIC and EDUCATION. (Thanks to Bunker Studios, an incredible 3,000 sq ft recording studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which offers students the opportunity to learn about the recording process and record their original songs from the semester.)
