GIRLS WHO ROCK wins Best Fundraising Event Award
Everyone at GIRLS WHO ROCK is beaming with pride today over the news that we were recognized for all of our hard work with the VivaBrite Best Fundraising Event award. We wanted to first thank Vivanista, EventBrite, and all of those who took the time to donate resources and funds for our event in June. Secondly, we are thankful to our non-profit partner She’s the First for all of their inspiring work in the developing world. In addition, She’s the First has been a treasure trove of information and guidance on connecting with schools and learning about the facts on girls’ education in developing countries.
We wanted to thank all of the people who joined us at Gramercy Theatre on June 10th, with each ticket, all of you helped changed the life of girls across the globe. On the Vivanista website, it states: “We believe that best charitable fundraising does more than just raise dollars; if done well it also raises awareness for the cause and is a vehicle to build a community of advocates, including both donors and volunteers. ” And GIRLS WHO ROCK couldn’t agree more, we are appreciative and grateful to of all the girls across the U.S., and abroad, tweeting, Facebook, and identifying with our mission.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to do it again next year and invite everyone to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
