GIRLS WHO ROCK 2012 Beneficiary Is…
This past week, we made an instrumental decision on which partner school from the She’s the First directory will be our beneficiary for next year’s concert. GIRLS WHO ROCK is proud to announce that Shanti Bhavan in India will receive the proceeds of our concert in 2012! Shanti Bhavan is an innovative boarding school, providing education for the disadvantaged children of India’s lower caste. In addition, this school also funds secondary and higher education for their graduates.
This year, Shanti Bhavan has the pleasure of sending their second complete class to college. This is an enormous feat to not only have the first graduating class, but to have done so for a second year! We are thrilled to spotlight and bolster their accomplishments in girls’ education.
