A Female Shoots the First Music Video on iPad
A Female Shoots the First Music Video on iPad 2 The iPad 2 has been only out for two weeks, but it already made music history within the first 20 hours of its release.
Singer-songwriter Eddy became the first artist to use an iPad 2 to shoot and edit her music video for her song “Need.” Eddy’s team knew it was a risk, but Eddy says of the experience, “Everyone had a blast. That was the point. A lot of creative minds working together in a short amount of time.” Although their usage of the iPad 2 cameras is very modern, the crew still needed to use traditional filming methods such as using cinesliders and rigs and editing most of the video with Final Cut Pro to get the best results. Director Chase Andrews says of the process, “Looking back at the whole project, I am very glad that we did it. It was a great experience, and fun doing something first that was history making.”
